Wen-Yi Tan
Class of 2025
"I joined the Singapore Ministry of Foreign Affairs following my undergraduate studies in history at the National University of Singapore. As a foreign service officer, I served my first overseas posting in Indonesia, and have also covered a range of portfolios in the Ministry including Europe, Southeast Asia, and Northeast Asia. With Asia at the core of the rapidly evolving global order, deepening my understanding of the region has been a natural focus of my academic and professional life in Singapore. I hope that my studies at Georgetown will sharpen my perspectives on the global and foreign policy issues of our time, yield new insights on the US’ engagement of the Asia-Pacific, and energize me to continue contributing to the Singapore foreign service."
