Sophia Gagnier
Class of 2026
"I have been diligent in tailoring my studies to my specific interests in Asian history and politics, as well as conflict. In my undergraduate career, I was careful to select courses that would contribute to my understanding of the aforementioned areas in a well-rounded way; including special courses on Japanese politics, North Korean history, Asian sexuality/gender studies, and international law. I am currently working as a media relations Assistant (Woodside Park Strategies). In this role, I review media pitches, build and maintain media lists, and research journalists and reporters with the necessary backgrounds to best represent our clients' works and perspectives. I am also a volunteer newsletter contributor/Research Committee Member at the Sejong Society of Washington D.C.. In this role, I research and write on the current events of the Koreas. I have also previously volunteered as a Compliance Analyst for the G7 Research Group at the University of Toronto, where I tracked the compliance of G7 member states with their regional security commitments."
