"I want to study Asia because I believe it is one of the most dynamic and important regions on earth. It is full of a variety of different cultures, histories and traditions that I want to explore as much as possible. I believe in order to gain an understanding of a region such as Asia, understanding what motivates countries to behave the way that they do, requires the deep holistic education that I know Georgetown will provide me with. I hope that in my time at Georgetown I will gain a deeper knowledge of why countries within the region make the policy decisions that they do. I hope that by doing this I am one day able to help inform US foreign policy decision making and continue to work and study in this field. "
