"Through the MASIA program, I hope to gain a deep regional knowledge of the history, security, and politics of Asia, especially the Korean peninsula. I also want to learn and apply international relations theory to Asia, as well as examine how US diplomacy in Asia impacts security in the Pacific. Finally, I want to reach Korean language proficiency so that I can serve in a diplomatic or liaison capacity in Korea."
