Josh Pope
Class of 2024
"I've been interested in public service and international affairs since joining Model UN in high school and interning on a local political campaign. While studying International Affairs at the George Washington University, I developed a passion for studying the United States' Free and Open Indo-Pacific Strategy. I'm interested in the rise of multilateral institutions like the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue, and the shift away from reliance on bilateral relations with close allies (hub and spokes system). I always had a passion for learning other languages and cultures and loved the idea of traveling to new countries. I was overjoyed when presented with the opportunity to study in Taiwan. When I was in Taiwan I met as many locals as possible and engage in language exchanges. I love studying Mandarin and use it on a daily basis in my job. I also practice basic Hindi in my free time and hope to take formal classes at Georgetown."
