Before attending Georgetown, Jimin worked a year abroad as a debate instructor for the Asian Debate League in Taipei, Taiwan. Additionally, he is an assistant policy debate coach at the Taipei American School. During his time as an undergraduate student, Jimin was on policy debate team. He was ranked as a top sixteen team in the country and recognized as a Debater of the Year for KU. Jimin also participated in research projects over trade wars and climate engineering proposals.
