Jasmine Mitchell
Class of 2025
"I began Japanese language study all the way back in kindergarten in a pilot Japanese immersion program and since then have had a deep interest in the study of Japan and the rest of the Asia-Pacific Region. As a product of a language immersion program throughout my K-12 education, I have a personal connection and deep understanding of the importance and impact of international education and cultural diplomacy; which has fundamentally shaped the globally-minded person I am today. I hope to build upon my writing skills during my Georgetown to prepare myself for a career in the Foreign Service. While my career is already set in stone as a Pickering Fellow, I look forward to the many professional development and networking opportunities at Georgetown as well. "
