Jasmine Mitchell
Class of 2025
"I began studying Japanese in kindergarten through a pilot Japanese immersion program, which ignited a long-standing passion for Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. As a product of language immersion throughout my K-12 education, I have developed a strong personal connection to the significance of international education and cultural diplomacy. As a 2023 Thomas R. Pickering Fellow and future U.S. Foreign Service Officer on the career public diplomacy track, I am committed to broadening my global perspective and advancing cross-cultural understanding while representing the United States abroad. At Georgetown, I aim to further refine my writing skills and engage with colleagues who share my passion for the Asia-Pacific region as I prepare for a career in the Foreign Service. "
