Jada Fraser
Class of 2024
"My draw to Asia is deeply rooted in my family's experiences in Japan and throughout Asia. Having this childhood, which was relatively distinct from everyone else I knew in small-town Texas, is what really sparked my interest in studying Japan. During my time at Georgetown, I hope to continue pursuing that path to improving my regional fluency through the lens of both U.S. alliances and partnerships, but also through the evolving minilateral security architecture in the region (that at times, includes our allies but excludes the US). I want to be able to get a better sense of the region outside of the sometimes reductive "US-China competition" framing and explore the different perspectives of countries in the region."
