"I am motivated to study Asia due to my own ancestral and familial ties to South Asia and how integral Asia is to the rest of the world. I hope to facilitate and connect to lifelong mentors at Georgetown, strengthen my bonds with my cohort, learn a new language, and continue to challenge my own worldview. My long-term academic goals include receiving my PhD and publishing my own scholarship. I also hope to have a long career as a US diplomat, serving tours in the UN, in the Middle East, and Asia."
