"While pursuing my bachelor's degree, I carried out two internships at local think-tanks and a research internship related to Eurasian affairs. During my Erasmus exchange semester at Leiden University, I had the opportunity to take a course on East Asia. I had an increased interest on East Asia after this, encouraging me to further my Chinese and Japanese language studies. I would like to develop a good understanding on China by building up on my international relations background. I also would like to capitalize on the internship opportunities in D.C. for professional experience in my field. I would love to have a career that involves academia, think-tanks, or international organizations in different phases of my life."
