Morgan Peirce
Class of 2025
"Living in Beijing for three years as a young girl sparked my passion for studying Mandarin, Chinese culture, and politics. Over time, my interest in China grew as I recognized the importance of U.S.-China relations in global security, economics, and transnational issues. At Georgetown, I aim to deepen my understanding of China and the Indo-Pacific region as a whole by taking classes on South Asia and Southeast Asia. I also intend to enhance my language abilities, as well as my knowledge of economics and statistics. Ultimately, my goal is to leverage these skills in the private or public sector to promote transparent infrastructure development in the Indo-Pacific, focusing on energy diversification, private sector engagement, and poverty alleviation."
