"I chose to enter Georgetown to broaden my understanding of the region beyond Northeast Asia. I am particularly interested by China’s historical influences on Asian national identities and how these states will align themselves in a new era of ideological and economic competition. I aim to practically investigate how East and Southeast Asian populations debate these topics on internet platforms. Upon graduation from Georgetown, my goal is to work in the executive branch as a practitioner of Asia policy with an interest in sharp power and cross-border information flows."
