Yesun Kim
Class of 2027
Yesun Kim holds a B.A. in International Studies from Ewha Womans University and is a Fulbright Graduate Student Program scholar. Born and raised in Seoul, she spent her middle and high school years in Myanmar, Republic of Georgia, and United States. Her research interests involve U.S.-ROK alliance and trilateral cooperation with Japan, particularly in the areas of economic security and human rights. She has developed her research skills through internships at East Asia Institute (EAI), Committee for Human Rights in North Korea (HRNK), and Seoul National University Asia Center. At Ewha, she also worked as a research and teaching assistant to Professor Leif-Eric Easley.
Yesun has presented her research at various institutions including U.S. Embassy in Seoul, Sogang University, U.S. Department of State, Capitol Hill, Woodrow Wilson Center, and National Chengchi University in Taiwan. Her work has been published in Korea On Point and E-International Relations. She has actively participated in youth leadership programs such as the Maureen Mansfield Women’s Trilateral Youth Empowerment Program and U.S.-ROK-Japan Young Trilateral Leaders (YTL) Summit.
