Born and raised in Amityville, New York, Sophia joins MASIA after earning her Bachelor's degree in Political Economy from Georgetown in May 2024. As an undergraduate, Sophia interned with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Asia Program and the Indo-Pacific Economic Framework negotiating team at the U.S. Department of Commerce. She also served as an Research and Policy Intern with the US-ASEAN Business Council and as a Programs Assistant for Georgetown's Institute for the Study of Diplomacy. Sophia spent a summer abroad studying at the London School of Economics and Political Science and has interned in Saint-Omer, France. She has been studying Mandarin Chinese for almost ten years and speaks French.
