"As a Central Asian myself, I found the Central Asian regions are very underrated and overlooked in both academia and business, especially the Chinese Central Asian part. However, It's becoming increasingly relevant and important in today's political and economics environment. I want to bring focus and insights to the studies of the region so it would expand our horizon when we study Asia. Besides the core training which MASIA provides, I want to concentrate in International Political Economy in order to enhance my many years of on-the-ground business and journalistic experience in China and Turkey."
