Asian Studies at Georgetown boasts a distinguished group of alumni many of whom maintain active correspondence with and support of the program. Asian Studies certificate alumni work now in a wide range of fields: banking, non-profit, government, entertainment, international consulting, and medicine.

Alumni Updates:

Nathan Haft (SFS 07'): is currently volunteering for the Peace Corps in Peru as a Small Business Development Volunteer. He works with shrimp farmers and artisan groups in a small rural town in the Peruvian Andes, helping them improve organization, better their products, find markets, locate microfinance and understand basic business practices.

Dayea Diana Park (SFS 09'): is currently participating in the “James A. Kelly Korean Studies/Fellowship Program,” established by the Pacific Forum CSIS. Based in Honolulu, Hawaii, the fellowship serves to promote academic study, research, and professional career development, with a concentration on Korean Peninsula studies. She will participate in the Pacific Forum’s Young Leaders program and perform in-residence research at the Pacific Forum.
