Languages

A key component for regional expertise on Asia is facility with an Asian language. While the program counts any language native to Asia toward the language requirement, Asian Studies students have access to at least five Asian languages taught at Georgetown University. Each of these programs’ language offerings is designed to prepare students to meet language proficiency prior to graduation. Students are encouraged to work with their advising dean and/or program advisor regarding questions about language proficiency.
