Steven Yang is a graduate from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with a B.A. in International Studies, Chinese, and East Asian Studies. For three years, they have worked with an NSF-funded academic research team investigating Hmong American student experiences and wellness in higher education. It is their hope to fuse their academic experiences and shift towards a professional career as a regional expert, peacebuilder, and global developer. Steven studied abroad in Taipei, Taiwan, where they strengthened and maintained pre-advanced level Mandarin Chinese language proficiency.
