Ryusei Nosaka is a member of the Class of 2028 in the Asian Studies Program at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. Prior to enrolling at Georgetown, he earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Keio University’s Faculty of Law and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Keio University’s Graduate School of Law. Before beginning his studies at Georgetown, Ryusei served as a Research Assistant at the Research Institute for Advanced Innovation and GeoStrategy (RAIS) of the International House of Japan and as Executive Assistant to James Kondo, Chairman of the International House of Japan. His previous experience also includes positions as an intern at the International House of Japan and the Institute of Geoeconomics, as well as a Research Assistant at the Keio Center for Strategy (KCS). His work has focused on the impact of emerging technologies on national security and international affairs. He contributed to a trilateral public opinion survey conducted in collaboration with the East Asia Institute (EAI) of South Korea and the Korea Economic Institute (KEI) of the United States, supported the Tokyo Plenary Meeting of the Trilateral Commission, and served as the Japan-side logistics lead and international partner liaison for the Economic and Security Commons Project at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. His academic and professional interests include international security, geoeconomics, emerging technologies, and East Asian affairs.
