“I am a Turkish-American from the Bay Area, California, a place which, because of an absent Turkish diaspora, endowed me with many intercultural skills. During Covid, I decided to undertake the journey of learning Japanese, something that would unknowingly transform the trajectory of my life goals. Since beginning my Japanese learning in May 2020, I have worked as a teacher, interned as a venture capital fund research associate, traveled to over 16 countries, and lived in both Japan and Turkiye.”
