Oral History of the Asian Financial Crisis

Over two decades have passed since the Asian Financial Crisis, yet the consequences from the crisis continue to shape the economies, politics, and interrelations of the region. Dr. Steven Radelet, Director of the Global Human Development Program at the School of Foreign Service, revisits the financial crisis with an oral history of the crisis from his vantage point as high-level advisor to the Indonesian Ministry of Finance and reflects on the implications of the crisis for the region today. The event will be moderated by Dr. Yuhki Tajima, Associate Professor in Asian Studies and the School of Foreign Service.
